I hope you’ve all had a super weekend. It was quite a storm this morning and I am happy for the cooler temps that came with it.
We had another fantastic week in Kindergarten. We continued our work learning names, reviewing the people and places in our school, hearing stories, building with Magna Tiles and Polydrons, exploring math tools, writing our weekend news and cutting and gluing our class puzzle for display, painting our buckets for our “Bucket Filling” bulletin board. Most excitingly, we went on a Scavenger Hunt to practice the places in our school and we had our first Forest Friday. As you will see from the photos below, we had another blast of a week.
Our first full week starts tomorrow, and I am sure we will all be tired by Friday. Please be sure to try to get your child to bed early as sleep is so important to little minds and bodies. Additionally, don’t forget to send a healthy snack each day for your child. We have a short snack time mid-morning to tide us over until lunch.
We will have a few activities that you may want to join. In addition to our trip to Adams Apple Orchard on 9/22, the following dates are scheduled for more trips/events:
Week of September 19th – most likely 9/21 in the afternoon – Tie Dye T-Shirt Project. We create our class tie dye shirts with Ms. Gombosi in the art room. We need parent volunteers for this activity. Please let me know if you have some time that day!
9/28 – All School Hike up Mt. Philo in Charlotte – “Mountain Day” – we would love for you to join us for this fun excursion.
9/29 – Open House – Families come to tour the school and see all the amazing work accomplished so far
